Base Salary
$128k - $168k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the end-to-end technical architecture for enterprise applications, platforms, and systems.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions and document major decisions in Architecture Decision Records.
- Lead AI-native development initiatives, including auditor feedback loops, AI governance, explainability, confidence scoring, human-in-the-loop controls, and audit trails.
- Run structured AI proof-of-concept programs and convert successful concepts into production features.
- Champion adoption of Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, and similar AI-assisted development tools.
- Lead, mentor, and elevate a team of 8–15 engineers across varied experience levels.
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, performance reviews, security assessments, and compliance checks.
- Partner with product managers, business analysts, project managers, operations, security, compliance, and other stakeholders.
- Define coding standards, architectural patterns, API standards, testing practices, and CI/CD pipeline architecture.
- Lead legacy-to-modern migration programs while maintaining production continuity.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including at least 4 years in an architect or technical lead role.
- Proven experience making large-scale enterprise platform architecture decisions across UI, API, data, and cloud layers.
- Deep expertise in microservices architecture patterns, including event-driven, API-first, domain-driven design, CQRS, and strangler fig modernization.
- Strong data architecture experience across relational databases, analytical warehouses, and cloud data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including compute, storage, data, and security services.
- Experience embedding AI and LLM capabilities into production software workflows and establishing AI governance practices.
- Experience establishing API design standards, testing practices, and CI/CD pipeline architecture.
- A proven record of leading legacy-to-modern migrations without disrupting production operations.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and elevating engineering teams of 8–15 people.
- Strong communication, critical-thinking, quantitative, data-interpretation, attention-to-detail, learning-agility, resilience, and ethical judgment skills.
