Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain a cross-platform agent/plugin in Go.
  • Design and build scalable, resilient Java and Spring Boot backend microservices and APIs.
  • Build and operate Apache Kafka streaming pipelines across Active/Active multi-data-center environments.
  • Containerize and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and operational patterns.
  • Design schemas and efficient queries for ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Redis, and related data stores.
  • Build GenAI-powered features and integrations using LLM APIs and agentic tooling.
  • Contribute to the React front end and collaborate on API contracts.
  • Manage multi-service dependencies across environments and data centers.
  • Collaborate with business partners, TPMs, and Product Managers on requirements, specifications, workflows, and use cases.
  • Drive delivery with limited direction and contribute to engineering best practices, POCs, architecture, scalability, resiliency, and CI/CD.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Preferred experience includes 5 or more years in application development with strong backend and systems programming depth.
  • Strong hands-on Go experience building cross-platform plugins or agents.
  • Solid core Java and Spring Boot experience developing production backend services, including concurrent and high-throughput processing.
  • Hands-on Apache Kafka experience with producers, consumers, partitioning, consumer groups, offsets, lag, and delivery semantics.
  • Experience building, containerizing, deploying, and operating services with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with microservices, distributed-systems design, fault tolerance, scalability, high availability, and multi-data-center operation.
  • Demonstrated RDBMS and SQL knowledge with hands-on PostgreSQL experience and complex query development.
  • Experience with ClickHouse or an equivalent analytical database and Redis caching.
  • Experience building GenAI or LLM integrations using LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, or agent/tool integrations such as function calling and MCP.
  • Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Git and Jenkins.
  • Working knowledge of a modern JavaScript framework, preferably React.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work with limited direction, solve complex problems, communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and deliver working software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another engineering discipline is preferred, as is an advanced degree with relevant experience.
