Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build OpenTelemetry-based solutions that automatically instrument customer applications, collect comprehensive telemetry, and publish it to AWS managed monitoring services.
- Design, build, and lead projects involving large-scale control and data planes using Amazon proprietary technologies.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of distributed tracing and application performance monitoring services.
- Develop features that help customers monitor application health, analyze behavior, detect anomalies, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions.
- Partner with multiple AWS teams and contribute to the product development lifecycle and broader cloud strategy.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and lead design or architecture initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering-team leader.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
