Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction of backend solutions and guide the team in delivering scalable, maintainable software.
- Design, code, debug, unit test, document, and support large and complex Java applications.
- Make architectural and design decisions focused on scalability and maintainability.
- Develop technical aspects of eCommerce stores, including commerce, content, and integrations with external systems.
- Troubleshoot complex or escalated incidents and identify technical risks and improvement opportunities.
- Mentor junior developers through code reviews, implementation support, and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with developers, consultants, solution design teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Research emerging software engineering technologies and recommend or validate improvements.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of hands-on software development experience is required.
- Graduation is required.
- Strong development skills in Java 11 or above and hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, design principles, and design patterns.
- Experience with SLF4J, Logback, or Log4j logging frameworks.
- Experience writing JUnit test cases using Mockito or PowerMock.
- Knowledge of exception handling, serialization and deserialization, immutability, collections, generics, annotations, enums, autoboxing, and concurrency.
- Basic understanding of Java Memory Management and garbage collection concepts.
- Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases and writing SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience creating and consuming RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies, SonarQube, code management tools, and caching mechanisms.
- Strong problem-solving, logical and analytical skills and the ability to take ownership of complex problems.
- Agile project management experience is good to have.
