Base Salary
$168k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build core P2P systems, including invoice ingestion and payment orchestration.
- Enable AI agents to automate invoice classification and processing.
- Own backend services that handle large volumes of financial events.
- Collaborate with Product, Finance, and Data teams to implement accounting policies in code.
- Extend the financial ledger for new transaction types and automated audit trails.
- Drive technical excellence in reliability, observability, and data integrity.
- Improve developer tooling and internal APIs for P2P data accessibility.
Requirements
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in fintech or payments.
- Experience designing and maintaining data-intensive distributed systems.
- Proficient in Python (or a comparable backend language) and SQL.
- Comfortable building event-driven systems and scaling high-volume architectures.
- Strong system design and debugging skills with a focus on correctness.
- Ability to work with finance and product stakeholders to translate business rules into software.
- Passion for building precise, reliable, and extensible systems.
