Responsibilities
- Build tools and automation to solve engineering challenges.
- Design and implement systems that enhance engineering velocity.
- Utilize AI capabilities to improve productivity in software development.
- Architect multi-step systems with defined inputs and outputs.
- Integrate AI features into CI/CD pipelines for better reliability.
- Advise product engineering teams on scalable system practices.
- Collaborate with teams to automate high-friction workflows.
- Instrument AI features with logging and monitoring.
- Document best practices for consistent adoption across the organization.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in infrastructure or internal tooling.
- Proficiency in Python or Go.
- Experience with the workflows and pain points of software engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with agentic or LLM-powered systems in production.
- Familiarity with LLM APIs and their tradeoffs.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Daily use of AI-assisted development tools.
- Ability to define metrics for AI tooling and run experiments.
- Strong communication skills for advising distributed teams.
