Base Salary
$140k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate backend services that manage infrastructure data and workflows across the Loft mission lifecycle.
- Design and implement APIs and integrations connecting tools and data across teams and systems.
- Partner with program management, satellite engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to understand and improve mission and business processes.
- Translate complex technical and business workflows into intuitive, reliable software solutions.
- Own features from design through production operations and incorporate user feedback to reduce workflow complexity.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python for backend engineering.
- Practical experience using Docker for containerization and deployment in scalable environments.
- Experience with backend architecture, API design, and robust database interactions.
- Hands-on experience building, operating, or integrating technologies for space missions.
- Ability to analyze complex business and technical processes and identify friction points and solution opportunities.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, operations, and business functions.
- Fluency in English.
- Preferred experience includes space mission design, modeling, or analysis; Django; GraphQL; GCP or AWS; Kubernetes; PyTest; Jest; React Testing Library; Playwright; or Cypress.
