Responsibilities
- Build scalable and performant software using software engineering best practices.
- Facilitate discussions about code implementation, testing, and software architecture.
- Collaborate with operations teams to maintain optimal production systems.
- Research new technologies to enhance trading systems.
- Drive projects and lead new initiatives.
- Work with the development team to resolve challenging design and coding issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2–10 years of experience building software systems.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Strong knowledge and experience with at least one of Python, C++, or Java; experience with multiple listed technologies is an asset.
- Experience with network programming and cloud environments, including TCP/IP, HTTP, and routing protocols.
- Experience with technologies such as Redis, RabbitMQ, GraphQL, Kafka, MongoDB, ELK, Docker, WebSocket, AMQP, TCP, or HTTP is an asset.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
