Responsibilities
- Define and maintain end-to-end architecture across mobile, API, ML pipeline, backend, data, and cloud layers.
- Design scalable, multi-region Azure infrastructure and high-volume platform capabilities for global field usage.
- Architect computer vision inference, model deployment, versioning, A/B testing, and continuous learning pipelines.
- Establish iOS and Android architecture standards for image capture, geo-fencing, offline-first operation, caching, and synchronization.
- Define API schemas, data contracts, integration patterns, Salesforce workflows, authentication, session management, and device security controls.
- Own reliability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, storage lifecycle, incident root cause analysis, and infrastructure escalation documentation.
- Design privacy-by-design data flows, data residency, minimization, retention, and security standards for GPS, biometric, and imagery data.
- Evaluate emerging AI capabilities including LLMs, VLMs, and agentic AI for the product roadmap.
- Produce architecture documentation, TRDs, ADRs, system diagrams, and integration maps; present proposals and trade-offs to leadership.
- Mentor engineering teams on product architecture standards and best practices.
Requirements

- Proven experience architecting cloud-native platforms on Azure, including API Management, Functions, Blob Storage, and Cosmos DB.
- Hands-on experience with ML inference infrastructure such as KubeRay, Ray Serve, TorchServe, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong iOS and/or Android architecture experience, including offline-first design patterns.
- Experience with computer vision, image recognition, or retail execution platforms is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Azure as the primary cloud and AWS or GCP as secondary cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of iOS, Swift, Objective-C, Android, Kotlin, Java, React Native, and Flutter architecture considerations.
