Base Salary
$203k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Understand functional requirements and develop technical designs, specifications, code, and tests.
- Size medium- to large-complexity work and manage timelines and deliveries.
- Design and develop software using data engineering technologies.
- Spend approximately 90% of the role on hands-on design, coding, testing, and production support.
- Resolve defects and bugs across testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patching.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering teams, and business units.
- Build data models, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines.
- Provide production support through quarterly on-call rotations and resolve production errors and incidents.
Requirements
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of experience developing data engineering pipelines using Python, PySpark, Spark, SQL, Databricks, AWS, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
- 7+ years of experience working with big data technologies.
- Extensive experience with Python and Spark.
- Ability to understand and work within a large existing codebase.
- Experience across the full software development life cycle.
- Demonstrated experience building and supporting large-scale enterprise data engineering pipelines and featurization.
