Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, technical design, development, and integration of complex enterprise-scale applications.
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, cost-effective applications and technical infrastructure.
  • Build Databricks and Azure Data Factory pipelines and integrate backend systems, databases, APIs, and file transfers.
  • Develop multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business and technology objectives.
  • Lead multiple complex projects involving new technology adoption and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Act as development team lead, conduct code reviews, and support delivery of project milestones.
  • Mentor intermediate and senior developers and facilitate collaborative problem-solving.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Oracle databases, Azure cloud technologies, Python, SQL, GitHub, batch job schedulers, and SFTP file transfer tools.
  • Essential development experience with Databricks and Azure Data Factory for building data pipelines.
  • Experience with REST APIs and broader Azure services is an asset, preferably with 1–3 years of experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design and structured software delivery life cycle practices is an asset.
  • Advanced application development and technical leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, strategic planning, communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
