Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable applications on distributed computing platforms.
- Build, enhance, and support data processing pipelines, APIs, and web-based applications.
- Participate in software design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Perform unit and integration testing and support user acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot application and production issues under the guidance of senior team members.
- Contribute to code reviews, coding standards, application performance improvements, automation, and software quality.
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, architects, and global technology teams.
- Learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience with Java/JEE and object-oriented programming.
- At least 3 years of experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Scala, Hadoop, or Hive.
- Experience developing data processing pipelines with Spark, Scala, or Python.
- Experience with Cassandra or other NoSQL databases and strong SQL skills with relational databases.
- Experience building or consuming APIs and working with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- Experience using Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Understanding of software design principles, coding standards, testing methodologies, distributed systems, and scalable application development.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving application issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent education and practical experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, analytical thinking, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Knowledge of capital markets products, derivatives, cross-asset products, market risk, trading risk, or PnL reporting systems is preferred.
