Responsibilities
- Provide post-sales technical leadership for strategic customers designing and implementing big-data projects.
- Architect production-level workloads and end-to-end data pipelines, including performance testing and optimization.
- Guide customers on data engineering, model deployment, technical roadmaps, and initiatives that create business value.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and tune queries, performance, and Spark or other big-data solutions.
- Deliver tutorials, training sessions, hackathons, and conference presentations to promote community adoption.
- Build technical expertise through mentorship, ongoing learning, and internal training.
Requirements
- Hands-on technical expertise with Apache Spark and experience using Databricks across several large-scale projects.
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional certification.
- Over 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer, including query tuning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging.
- Experience designing and implementing Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP technologies.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience designing and using cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with development tools for CI/CD, unit and integration testing, automation and orchestration, REST APIs, BI tools, and SQL interfaces such as Jenkins.
- Experience in customer-facing pre-sales, post-sales, technical architecture guidance, or consulting roles.
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to strategic stakeholders and leadership.
- Data Science or ML Engineering experience, including model selection, model lifecycle, hyperparameter tuning, model serving, and deep learning, is desired.
