Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and deploy reusable Java backend services within a microservices architecture.
- Develop applications supporting the securitization and issuance businesses in partnership with Business and Operations stakeholders.
- Design PostgreSQL schemas and write optimized queries.
- Implement event-driven integrations using Pub/Sub and messaging systems.
- Conduct code reviews and develop comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Collaborate with business analysts, quality assurance teams, architects, engineers, and distributed delivery teams.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements refinement, estimation, integration, and production releases.
- Help define architectural roadmaps and solution designs while ensuring software is reliable and supportable in production.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in modern Java and hands-on experience with the Spring Boot ecosystem, including Spring MVC and Spring Data.
- Experience building, deploying, and operating scalable microservices and message-driven applications.
- Solid PostgreSQL experience, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and Pub/Sub messaging patterns, such as Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with clean code, SOLID principles, automated testing, BDD, and TDD.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with the listed development and deployment technology stack, including Hibernate, Kubernetes, Helm, Maven, Git, and Jenkins or TeamCity.
- Ability to develop performant, reusable code aligned with sound architectural and design principles.
- Preferred: experience with GCP services such as GKE, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.
- Preferred: basic understanding of financial services, securitization, or structured finance products.
