Responsibilities
- Collaborate with analysts and engineers to deliver integrated data solutions.
- Build and operate ELT pipelines using AWS, Snowflake, PySpark, Python, and dbt.
- Design database structures and data models aligned with business needs.
- Monitor reliability and performance using CloudWatch and Dynatrace, including logging and troubleshooting.
- Manage incidents and problems, perform root-cause analysis, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Automate releases and deployments using GitHub Actions and Terraform.
- Perform testing and quality checks to maintain code quality and data integrity.
- Support platform migration, modernization, and adoption of new tools and technologies.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, AWS CloudWatch, and PySpark or Apache Spark.
- Experience designing and operating ELT or ETL pipelines, databases, and data models.
- Experience with GitHub-based version control, code reviews, CI/CD for data pipelines, Terraform, and monitoring or logging tools such as Dynatrace and CloudWatch.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, independent working, service orientation, and process orientation skills.
- Ability to produce clean, maintainable code and work in an organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and disciplined manner.
- Fluency in English is required.
- German proficiency, Scrum or other agile experience, insurance-industry experience, and familiarity with dbt are advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and practical applications.
