Base Salary
$238k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain internal backend frameworks and libraries.
- Create and improve APIs, service templates, and versioned interfaces.
- Introduce modern backend architecture patterns for better performance.
- Design domain-specific frameworks covering cross-cutting concerns.
- Embed reliability and observability into the platform.
- Collaborate with teams to tackle challenges unique to GenAI-native applications.
- Integrate platform components into the deployment and monitoring ecosystem.
- Gather feedback from product engineering teams and evangelize best practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in scalable backend systems.
- Proficiency in Python or similar languages and backend development fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with web frameworks and service architectures.
- Familiarity with caching, messaging, and database technologies.
- A track record of writing high-quality, well-tested code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for improving developer experience.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining internal libraries/frameworks is a plus.
