Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews and promote code quality, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
- Implement unit testing and secure coding practices to improve reliability and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Modernize core platforms and contribute to technology products that improve digital customer experiences.
- Partner with related teams and stakeholders, influence technical decisions, and manage risks and controls within owned work.
Requirements
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, JPA, JUnit, REST, microservices, and test-driven development.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies, including Oracle and MongoDB.
- Experience with DevSecOps and platforms and tools including OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jira, SonarQube, Prisma, and Wiz.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle and message queues such as Apache Kafka or IBM MQ.
- Experience with rapid application development using AI models such as Claude and GitLab Duo.
- Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science, object-oriented design, and data structures.
- Strong industry and domain expertise, with the ability to advise stakeholders, solve technical problems, and contribute across related teams.
