Responsibilities

  • Assess technical feasibility and scope enterprise AI engagements for delivery within 8 to 12 weeks.
  • Own architecture decisions involving model selection, hosting, data residency, security, identity and access, network isolation, integrations, and reuse.
  • Write technical proposal and statement-of-work sections and support measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Represent ConveneAI in client architecture, security, and vendor review boards.
  • Run architecture reviews and governance gates across live delivery pods and manage technical escalations.
  • Monitor inference cost, latency, reliability, observability, and failure modes across engagements.
  • Own the reference architecture and accelerator library and establish standards for agent design, evaluation, security, and cost management.
  • Mentor GenAI and Data Engineers through design and code review and support technical hiring and career development.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years building and shipping enterprise software, including at least 2 years with production LLM or agentic systems used by real users.
  • Track record as technical owner across multiple concurrent client engagements.
  • Hands-on capability with Python, cloud architecture, distributed systems, and API and integration design.

  • Enterprise architecture experience covering identity and access, security posture, data residency, network isolation, and model hosting.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with client executives, architecture review boards, and hands-on engineers.
  • Commercial understanding of fixed-fee engagement economics and the judgment to reject undeliverable deals.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada and willing to travel to client sites.
  • Experience at a consultancy or systems integrator, or as a Field CTO or principal architect at an AI, data, or cloud platform vendor, is preferred.
  • Experience with regulated-industry systems such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, core banking, or clinical platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with self-hosted or open-weight models, fine-tuning, distillation, private inference, reference architectures, accelerator libraries, or scaling delivery organizations is preferred.
  • Published applied-AI architecture writing, conference talks, or open-source work is preferred.

Benefits

  • Initially employed by Bits In Glass while working directly with ConveneAI, with an expected 12–18 month transition to a permanent ConveneAI position subject to business requirements and transition arrangements.
  • Meaningful equity opportunity.
  • Direct collaboration with founders and senior AI operators across multiple industries.
  • Travel to client sites is required.
