Responsibilities
- Own technical direction and architectural decisions across assigned squads.
- Conduct complex pull request and educational code reviews.
- Define, enforce, and drive adoption of engineering, coding, testing, and review standards through the PEX program.
- Author and review technical design documents and maintain technical guides and domain-specific knowledge resources.
- Identify systemic technical debt and advocate for remediation priorities.
- Lead cross-squad technical initiatives and architecture review sessions.
- Support complex JIRA epic refinement, breakdown, and technical scoping.
- Mentor SDE3 engineers progressing toward Lead Engineer roles.
- Provide technical guidance to Engineering Managers and help develop future technical leaders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and technical liaison connecting product intent with detailed execution.
- Capture and document knowledge from contractor teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET application development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java-based enterprise applications and frameworks.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating solutions in AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proven experience with microservices architectures, APIs, containerization, and distributed systems.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams and influencing architectural decisions.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.
- Subject matter expertise in specific technical domains.
