Responsibilities

  • Own technical direction and architectural decisions across assigned squads.
  • Conduct complex pull request and educational code reviews.
  • Define, enforce, and drive adoption of engineering, coding, testing, and review standards through the PEX program.
  • Author and review technical design documents and maintain technical guides and domain-specific knowledge resources.
  • Identify systemic technical debt and advocate for remediation priorities.
  • Lead cross-squad technical initiatives and architecture review sessions.
  • Support complex JIRA epic refinement, breakdown, and technical scoping.
  • Mentor SDE3 engineers progressing toward Lead Engineer roles.
  • Provide technical guidance to Engineering Managers and help develop future technical leaders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and technical liaison connecting product intent with detailed execution.
  • Capture and document knowledge from contractor teams.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise-scale environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java-based enterprise applications and frameworks.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and operating solutions in AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proven experience with microservices architectures, APIs, containerization, and distributed systems.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams and influencing architectural decisions.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.
  • Subject matter expertise in specific technical domains.
