Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution and delivery of technology solutions and continuous improvements across Fidelity’s application landscape.
  • Modernize core systems in collaboration with architecture teams to create scalable, resilient, and future-ready solutions.
  • Partner with engineers, product owners, business stakeholders, and architecture teams to deliver application solutions.
  • Break down complex initiatives, estimate scope, timelines, and resourcing, recommend technical approaches, and mitigate risks.
  • Assess code quality, architecture alignment, operational risk, and solution maintainability.
  • Produce and review technical documentation for long-term sustainability and knowledge sharing.
  • Support application operations through on-call participation and improvements to stability, performance, and supportability.

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a full-stack developer.
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a team lead.
  • Experience with TypeScript and Node.js or Java and Spring Boot on the backend.
  • Experience with TypeScript, React, or Angular on the frontend.
  • Strong experience building and designing systems.
  • Experience leveraging artificial intelligence to solve problems creatively.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Financial-industry experience is an asset.
  • Current work authorization for Canada is required.

  • Annual base salary of $135,000 to $152,000 plus a discretionary performance bonus.
