Responsibilities
- Design and build robust, scalable and maintainable Open Banking APIs and services with quality and testability embedded in the solution.
- Develop and maintain automated tests and automation frameworks alongside application code.
- Identify technical and quality risks early and implement effective approaches to prevent defects.
- Investigate complex issues by analysing logs and code, reproducing defects, finding root causes and delivering sustainable fixes.
- Support production systems, participate in on-call activities and respond to incidents to maintain reliability.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, product owners and other stakeholders while influencing technical solutions and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in software engineering, quality engineering or both.
- Strong understanding of modern Java, Spring Boot and engineering best practices.
- Experience implementing and maintaining enterprise services and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Cloud experience, particularly AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure tooling such as Jenkins and Terraform.
- Experience with observability and application monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- API testing and automation experience.
- Ability to take end-to-end ownership, solve complex problems, navigate ambiguity and collaborate across disciplines.
