Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end technical architecture for a service scaling from early customers to AWS-wide adoption.
- Work with internal and external customers to understand integration needs and incorporate feedback into service direction.
- Drive technical consensus across partner teams and decide when to build customer-specific solutions versus reusable abstractions.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and design reviews.
- Define monitoring and alarming standards, ensure production readiness, and drive operational excellence.
- Identify important problems and deliver scalable solutions quickly.
- Use LLMs inventively in software development while maintaining code and software quality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years of leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- At least 5 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Deep experience in Rust or systems-level TypeScript, or a demonstrated ability to reach that level quickly.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent preferred.
