Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design system architectures and author design documents balancing security, compliance, scalability, sustainability, and delivery timelines.
- Write, debug, optimize, review, and maintain high-quality performant code.
- Lead project planning, experimentation, implementation, and safe deployment across distributed environments.
- Maintain live-site health, develop incident-response playbooks, conduct root-cause analyses, and improve service-level outcomes.
- Build developer tools, production automation, foundational platform components, and reusable building blocks.
- Influence product strategy and technical direction using customer feedback, data insights, and competitive analysis.
- Collaborate with partner teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end experiences and shared technical ownership.
- Pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 4+ years designing, building, and operating production-grade software and services at scale.
- Preferred: experience designing and building distributed systems and cloud-based services.
- Preferred: deep understanding of Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Preferred: hands-on experience with AI-enhanced development environments such as GitHub Copilot.
- Preferred: experience with generative AI API platforms such as Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI, or Claude.
- Preferred: familiarity with authorization, authentication, OAuth, MCP, or A2A protocols.
- Preferred: strong verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts.
