Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software components and services for Microsoft 365 products.
- Build security solutions and improve application security maturity at scale.
- Create prototypes and proof-of-concept code and advise engineering teams on secure design and implementation.
- Develop internal tools that improve engineering quality and security.
- Participate in debugging, testing, logging, telemetry analysis, incident retrospectives, and code reviews.
- Apply security, privacy, safety, accessibility, reliability, and maintainability practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency or experience with coding languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: ability to learn complex distributed systems, cloud services, and identity-based architectures.
- Preferred: experience analyzing technical signals, logs, telemetry, or system behavior to identify anomalies and root causes.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $102,100-$202,200 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of USD $133,800-$219,200 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The Microsoft Cloud Background Check is required upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
