Responsibilities
- Lead test automation strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and framework development for UI and backend testing.
- Define automation architecture, select appropriate tools, and maintain and extend test automation frameworks across projects.
- Drive CI/CD and left-shift automation to support continuous and incremental testing during development.
- Lead performance testing strategy for Windows thick-client and web-based applications.
- Design performance-testing architecture and execute load, stress, endurance, soak, BPA, and related testing.
- Monitor production statistics to develop non-functional requirements and workload models.
- Use application performance monitoring tools to analyze application, database, and middleware performance.
- Prepare detailed performance test reports covering SLAs, error rates, resource utilization, and monitoring drill-downs.
- Present performance findings and observations to senior management and IT and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with QA and delivery leads and vendor partners to achieve automation and performance-testing objectives.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in QA, primarily focused on test automation and performance testing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent/relevant education.
- Experience with databases, SQL, UNIX systems, and end-to-end functional and non-functional testing processes.
- Strong test automation experience using Selenium, UFT, Test Complete, SoapUI, and similar tools.
- Strong performance-testing experience using LoadRunner, JMeter, Performance Center, AppDynamics, Splunk, and similar tools.
- Proven analytical, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to work with technical, IT, business, and vendor stakeholders.
- Ability to make practical decisions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
