Base Salary
$185k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own cloud services connecting a growing robot fleet to customer experiences and internal operations.
- Build operational telemetry ingestion pipelines for high-frequency robot signals.
- Select technologies, document architectural decisions, and establish patterns for a growing team.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response for owned services.
- Define requirements and operationalize workflows with science, engineering, and product teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing and operating software in a cloud-based environment such as AWS.
- Experience owning a service end to end, including design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Preferred experience includes backend development for physical devices, fleet connectivity, MQTT, device identity and certificate management, offline-tolerant synchronization, IoT platforms, real-time telemetry ingestion, streaming, time-series stores, over-the-air updates, fleet rollouts, connected-device security, infrastructure as code, operational tooling, robotics, automotive, or connected-home software.

- Base salary range of $184,900.00–$250,200.00 USD annually, plus potential sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
