Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features across Pico’s product range.
- Analyze and process high-volume network data in real time.
- Develop solutions for consumers of real-time and historical, raw and normalized market data.
- Build efficient, maintainable, high-availability, and high-performance systems.
- Develop multi-threaded applications and perform automated unit and integration testing.
- Diagnose field issues using limited available data and collaborate across multiple jurisdictions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of development experience.
- Expert proficiency in C++ development under Linux.
- Experience with Python, shell scripting, and makefiles.
- Understanding of algorithms and design patterns.
- Experience with multi-threaded application development.
- Knowledge of Linux-based development environments and tools such as gdb and valgrind.
- Knowledge of IP networking.
- Ability to reason through technical trade-offs, follow or create appropriate patterns, and write maintainable code.
