Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scope product needs with customers and deliver complete product modules end to end.
- Design versioned APIs, typed pricing data models, backend services, user interfaces, and agent-enabled systems.
- Build conversational interfaces, web applications, command-line tools, vendor integrations, and agent tooling.
- Establish testing, observability, deployment, security, and performance practices.
- Investigate production issues, mentor teammates, and improve engineering practices for AI-assisted development.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including staff-level ownership of product areas at startups.
- Strong backend experience with Python, FastAPI, MongoDB or a comparable stack, plus React and TypeScript skills.
- Ability to take ambiguous customer problems from discovery through delivery, including versioned APIs, data models, and production operations.
- Experience integrating AI features or agent-driven workflows; MCP-like tooling experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS monetization such as pricing, packaging, quoting, billing, or CPQ.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Benefits
- Base salary of $200,000 to $250,000 annually.
- On-site in San Francisco, California; candidates must be based in San Francisco or willing and able to relocate.
