Responsibilities
- Embed within client environments to design and build bespoke AI and agentic solutions for live business problems.
- Own technical architecture and delivery from discovery and stakeholder workshops through production deployment.
- Develop backend, frontend, infrastructure, and scalable production systems while presenting architecture and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
- Build evaluation frameworks and apply evaluation-driven development and LLM observability practices.
- Set engineering standards, unblock technical challenges, and mentor engineers on agentic delivery practices.
- Contribute to commercial scoping, effort estimation, proposal work, RFPs, client pitches, and engagement structure.
- Define reusable engineering patterns, support recruitment and capability development, and contribute to thought leadership.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a senior or principal-level software engineer or architect owning production systems end to end.
- Experience working in client-facing or customer-facing consulting, professional services, or startup environments.
- Experience working with CTO, VP Engineering, and director-level stakeholders, including running workshops and presenting technical strategy.
- Deep backend development experience with production microservices, ideally using Python or TypeScript.
- Strong frontend experience with React and TypeScript, including frameworks such as Next.js or Vite.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying agentic architectures using LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or the Anthropic Agent SDK, including tool use, MCP servers, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Production experience with LLM providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral, and Llama, with the ability to assess model-selection trade-offs.
- Strong proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP and experience designing for scale, security, and cost.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Compose, and Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Experience with evaluation-driven development and LLM observability tools such as Langsmith, Langfuse, or Braintrust.
- Experience owning CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Experience with vector databases such as ChromaDB, Pinecone, PGVector, Qdrant, or MongoDB Vector Search, plus familiarity with MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Strong commercial awareness, written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working in agile teams and operating independently when embedded on client sites.
- Eligibility for SC Security Check clearance is a bonus; active SC clearance is an additional bonus.
