Responsibilities
- Architect and scale reliable test automation frameworks across frontend, world levels, backend, and API layers.
- Establish the long-term technical vision for test automation tools, libraries, and infrastructure.
- Promote shift-left testing and build testability into system designs.
- Integrate and improve automated testing in CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead performance engineering, load testing, security vulnerability scanning, and chaos engineering strategies.
- Develop AI-native, adversarial, and self-healing test automation approaches for ML and generative AI systems.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for automation failures, pipeline issues, and production quality incidents.
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Solution Architects, and Product Owners on organizational goals and delivery.
- Mentor mid-level SDETs and Test Designers in coding, framework design, and engineering skills.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or SDET roles.
- Experience architecting automation frameworks from concept through production.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or functional language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins and with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Understanding of complex distributed cloud systems and structural integration risks.
- Ability to communicate technical quality risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
