Base Salary
$245k - $295k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own performance engineering at the platform level and establish benchmarks.
- Ensure long-term architecture for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Set operational standards and reduce on-call noise through automation.
- Provide cross-domain technical leadership and oversight.
- Influence technical decisions across adjacent infrastructure teams.
- Engage with product and engineering leadership to define roadmaps.
- Mentor senior engineers and foster a collaborative team culture.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in designing and operating distributed systems at scale.
- Proven track record in performance engineering at a staff level.
- On-call experience in a customer-facing team is required.
- Ability to influence technical decisions across teams.
- Experience collaborating with product and engineering leadership.
- Strong mentorship skills and ability to build systems for team improvement.
