Base Salary

$143k - $262k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients to translate business problems and requirements into technology solutions.
  • Support insurance technology transformation programs involving Guidewire implementations, enterprise data management, reinsurance accounting and reporting, and technology performance management.
  • Analyze business requirements for alignment with technology architecture, infrastructure design, vendor selection, and implementation plans.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise for architecture, data models, system design, interfaces, application configuration, integration, conversion, migration, and testing.
  • Deliver system implementations through all project life-cycle phases using proven methodologies.
  • Create proofs of concept, evaluate alternative solutions, and work with client counterparts on complex design approaches.
  • Advise clients on business process services for identifying, assessing, managing, and measuring organizational capabilities and process risk.
  • Collaborate with client engagement teams, technology professionals, and third-party strategic alliances.
  • Research regulations, industry practices, emerging issues, and application technologies to address client inquiries.
  • Travel to client sites as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in one of these fields plus 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience at a Property and Casualty insurance carrier or consulting firm.
  • Previous application experience with one or more of Guidewire, OneShield, Exigen, MajescoMastek, DuckCreek, FirstBest, Business Objects, Cognos, or Informatica.
  • Proficiency in system selection and implementation, business and technical requirements, business and technology architecture, application configuration and integration, or data mapping, conversion, and migration.
  • Experience with software engineering processes, code review methodologies, and code optimization tools and techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentations.
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking through research of client inquiries and emerging regulations, industry practices, and application technologies.
  • Preferred experience includes management reporting, business intelligence and decision support, data warehousing and enterprise data design and management, enterprise application integration, impact analysis, and end-to-end solutions across connecting systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a high-demand, performance-driven, inclusive, team-oriented environment and act as a people developer.
