Base Salary
$121k - $231k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and advance Verizon’s AI-driven ATOM cloud automation and orchestration platform.
- Use AI agents to automate network deployments, health checks, configuration audits, and service assurance.
- Convert static procedures into machine-readable formats that AI agents can execute.
- Design unified automation workflows and closed-loop, self-healing service assurance frameworks using real-time telemetry.
- Translate network use cases across iEN, IP, Transport, Verizon Cloud Platform, and 5G Network Functions into scalable platform capabilities.
- Provide technical direction and lead onshore and offshore development teams through complex engineering problems.
- Develop full-cycle applications, including design, coding, and testing, using AI tools to improve delivery and performance.
- Collaborate with tenants, business stakeholders, quality assurance teams, and production support to maintain system stability.
Requirements
- A degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant experience through work, military experience, or specialized training.
- Experience with cloud-native and automation architecture, full-stack engineering, resilient applications, event-driven orchestration platforms, API-first automation workflows, and network infrastructure automation.
- Experience creating modular, reusable code architectures and network templates using Jinja2, YAML, and JSON data models.
- Preferred experience developing generative AI solutions and AI agents in Python, RAG architectures, vector databases, LLM prompt engineering, LangChain, LangGraph, LangFlow, MCP Servers, AWS, or GCP.
- Preferred expertise in Python, Linux, JavaScript, Git, OpenStack, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or VCP WebScale.
- Preferred experience with PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or MongoDB.
- Preferred familiarity with Claude Code, GitLab CI/CD, Vue.js, FastAPI, Django, Flask, Fastify, or Temporal.
- Preferred telecom experience with automation, orchestration, service assurance, wireline and wireless networks, networking protocols, and platforms such as AP, ASPN, or ATLAS.
- Certifications in agentic AI, machine learning, or UI/UX design are preferred.
