Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, and implement complex enterprise software enhancements and solutions.
  • Design platform-based architectures and deliver complex platforms into production.
  • Develop software using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, and related programming languages.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create sustainable solutions for complex problems.
  • Provide technical leadership and critical analysis during architecture decisions and code reviews.
  • Develop automated tests, conduct manual tests, and improve development and test methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot large, mission-critical client implementations.
  • Create design, API, and customer documentation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and coordinate cross-team activities to complete assignments.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another technical field is required; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • At least 9 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience is required.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, microservices, and service deployment in cloud environments is required.
  • Experience with cloud-native services, Kubernetes, Kafka, message-based systems, and relational databases is required or preferred as specified in the posting.
  • Strong object-oriented programming experience and knowledge of compiler or interpreter technologies, embedded systems, operating systems, scripting, and advanced programming languages.
  • Experience with Azure, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL is preferred or an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with complex, multi-tiered, high-performance database applications.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with an Agile development methodology.
  • Financial-services software experience in portfolio management, trading, compliance, post-trade, IBOR, or wealth management is strongly desired.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with peers.
