Responsibilities
- Advise Public Sector customers as a trusted technical advisor and influence cloud adoption strategies and technology direction.
- Lead end-to-end solution design for complex workloads while making performance, reliability, security, and cost trade-offs.
- Collaborate with sales, professional services, support, and engineering teams on customer-focused technical solutions.
- Create technical content such as reference architectures, design patterns, and presentations, and represent AWS at events and customer engagements.
- Mentor and develop Solutions Architects and translate customer feedback into product and service improvement recommendations.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
- 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
- Preferred: 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
- Preferred: knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer bases, and industry verticals, plus experience with end-user or developer communities.
- Preferred: experience architecting Linux/Unix and Windows infrastructure solutions, including server, load balancing, high availability/disaster recovery, and storage architectures.
- Preferred: experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud ERP, and Cloud ERP Private.
