Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical authority for AI architecture, engineering, and delivery.
- Drive technical direction, architecture, design reviews, and reusable engineering patterns for complex AI products and platforms.
- Research, prototype, evaluate, and recommend emerging AI technologies, models, frameworks, and architectural patterns.
- Architect and build a unified AIOps platform integrating tools, applications, agents, skills, workflows, and automation.
- Define orchestration, integration, agent-to-agent communication, identity, data, observability, and governance patterns.
- Build a plug-and-play architecture that allows agents, skills, tools, and services to be onboarded, discovered, orchestrated, and reused.
- Influence technical decisions across multiple engineering teams and establish technical alignment without direct organizational authority.
- Remain hands-on while mentoring engineers and driving technical strategy across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 10+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
- Production experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, agentic AI, multi-agent systems, RAG, semantic search, vector databases, and workflow orchestration.
- Full-stack expertise spanning frontend, backend, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, data engineering, and modern application architectures.
- Experience with C#, .NET, Python, React or Angular, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Azure.
- Hands-on experience across the AI lifecycle, including model selection, fine-tuning, evaluation, prompt engineering, inference optimization, safety validation, and production deployment.
- Experience building secure and responsible AI systems with grounding, hallucination mitigation, guardrails, governance, observability, and operational practices.
- Experience with AI platforms and agent frameworks such as Microsoft Agent Framework, Semantic Kernel, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, MCP, LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, OpenAI, or Anthropic.
- Expertise in cloud-native architecture and platform engineering, including scalable services, event-driven architectures, authentication, authorization, telemetry, monitoring, reliability, performance optimization, and cost-efficient operations.
- Technical leadership experience as a senior individual contributor, including influencing architecture, establishing engineering standards, mentoring through design and code reviews, and driving strategy across teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex AI systems across models, prompts, agents, orchestration layers, data pipelines, and distributed services.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field; experience with responsible AI, compliance, privacy, governance, networking, infrastructure, telemetry, operational systems, AIOps, monitoring, or observability.
