Responsibilities

Own features through scoping, development, shipping, iteration, and completion.
Contribute to technical architecture and system design decisions involving scalability, data modeling, and service boundaries.
Collaborate with Product and occasionally customers to understand problems and design suitable solutions.
Maintain code quality through reviews, early issue detection, and engineering standards.
Mentor junior engineers through pairing, feedback, and context sharing.
Monitor, debug, and improve the stability and performance of developed systems.

3–5 years of professional software engineering experience in a backend-heavy environment.
Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
Comfort working across the full stack with React and SQL.
Solid system design fundamentals, including scalability, data modeling, and service boundaries.
Clear communication with non-engineers about technical trade-offs and timelines.
Ability to work independently through ambiguity and break down complex problems.
Enjoyment of working in a small, high-ownership early-stage company.
