Responsibilities
- Deliver clean, architecturally sound, maintainable, secure, and scalable server-side code.
- Design and architect Golang microservices and distributed applications.
- Build and improve connected financial products, transaction-data integrations, analytics, recommendations, and financial marketplaces.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering managers to iterate on products and development processes.
- Guide design discussions and balance flexibility, speed, scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Diagnose problems across client, HTTP/network, server, database, and operating-system layers.
- Champion strong development practices, address technical debt, and promote continuous improvement.
- Mentor or coach other engineers and strengthen team knowledge-sharing, where applicable to Level 5.
Requirements
- In-depth experience with Golang and scalable microservices-based applications.
- Experience with microservices deployed in containers on Kubernetes.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including distributed systems, REST APIs, database design, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL datastores.
- Experience building large, concurrent, and distributed applications.
- Experience developing and running large-scale production environments with DevOps or SRE teams.
- Ability to diagnose issues across the full stack and make well-reasoned technical decisions.
- Experience with agile development practices and a strong commitment to learning and continuous improvement.
- PHP, full-stack development, real-time or low-latency transaction systems, event-driven architectures, and fintech or payments experience are bonuses.
- Experience mentoring or coaching engineers is a bonus for Level 5.
