Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and evolve core tax filing and compliance modules from solution design through long-term maintenance.
  • Develop and improve back-end and front-end components, APIs, interfaces, and integrations for a scalable, stable platform handling large data volumes and complex tax logic.
  • Translate changing fiscal regulations and customer needs into reliable software with domain experts and product owners.
  • Apply modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools where appropriate to improve productivity, quality, and maintainability.
  • Improve engineering quality through testing, refactoring, code reviews, clean architecture practices, and mentoring or coaching other engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on software development experience with increasing technical ownership.
  • Preferred experience with C#, .NET, Azure, and modern web technologies such as Angular, React, or comparable frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of testing, refactoring, code reviews, clean architecture principles, and maintainable code.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly with complex logic and data.
  • Fluent English and the ability to read and understand Dutch requirements texts; spoken Dutch is helpful but not required.
  • Collaborative mindset and interest in using AI-assisted development tools responsibly.
