Base Salary

$147k - $197k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the architectural roadmap for the Simulation Scenario Definition platform and its programmatic Python SDK.
  • Lead the design and implementation of graphical tools for defining complex traffic, environment, and sensor scenarios.
  • Evolve Python infrastructure and core algorithms for scenario serialization and validation.
  • Integrate simulation tooling with a large-scale cloud-compute cluster.
  • Provide hands-on mentorship and establish standards for API design, code quality, and testing practices.
  • Lead technical projects from concept through production.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of professional software-development experience, with significant experience in large-scale platforms, tooling, or SDK development.
  • Expert proficiency in Python, including performance optimization and development of robust APIs and SDKs for external consumers.
  • Strong foundation in 3D graphics, computational geometry, and/or real-time simulation concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical projects from concept to production.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching mid-level and senior engineers and driving code-quality standards.
  • Preferred experience with C++ for performance-critical components or simulation-engine integration.
  • Preferred experience developing or extending a domain-specific language or high-level scripting language.
  • Preferred experience with Unity, Unreal, or other professional simulation software.
  • Preferred experience with data visualization for large and complex datasets.
  • Preferred familiarity with autonomous-vehicle architecture, robotics, or safety-critical systems.
