Base Salary
$147k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architectural roadmap for the Simulation Scenario Definition platform and its programmatic Python SDK.
- Lead the design and implementation of graphical tools for defining complex traffic, environment, and sensor scenarios.
- Evolve Python infrastructure and core algorithms for scenario serialization and validation.
- Integrate simulation tooling with a large-scale cloud-compute cluster.
- Provide hands-on mentorship and establish standards for API design, code quality, and testing practices.
- Lead technical projects from concept through production.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software-development experience, with significant experience in large-scale platforms, tooling, or SDK development.
- Expert proficiency in Python, including performance optimization and development of robust APIs and SDKs for external consumers.
- Strong foundation in 3D graphics, computational geometry, and/or real-time simulation concepts.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical projects from concept to production.
- Experience mentoring and coaching mid-level and senior engineers and driving code-quality standards.
- Preferred experience with C++ for performance-critical components or simulation-engine integration.
- Preferred experience developing or extending a domain-specific language or high-level scripting language.
- Preferred experience with Unity, Unreal, or other professional simulation software.
- Preferred experience with data visualization for large and complex datasets.
- Preferred familiarity with autonomous-vehicle architecture, robotics, or safety-critical systems.
