Base Salary
$209k - $239k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Partner with architects and product leaders on platform roadmaps and shared services strategy.
- Mentor engineers, support professional development, and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
- Lead architectural design reviews, cross-functional engineering efforts, and large-scale technical initiatives.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns, observability practices, and reliability practices across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 9+ years coding with multiple listed programming languages, and 5+ years contributing to open source frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting cloud environments, mentoring senior engineers, observability, performance optimization, architectural reviews, enterprise technical standards, coding standards, and reliability practices.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI productivity tooling, technology strategy, and leading cross-functional engineering initiatives is preferred.
