Responsibilities
- Design and build features for a global, multi-brand e-commerce platform.
- Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces with React, TypeScript, Vite, and React Native where needed.
- Manage shared packages, package boundaries, dependency direction, and versioned releases within a TypeScript monorepo.
- Partner with Product, Design, backend, Platform Engineering, and Analytics teams on end-to-end customer journeys.
- Instrument analytics and experiments to diagnose production issues and improve performance.
- Own features through design, implementation, testing, code review, and deployment.
- Improve component architecture and testing practices while mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of software experience and 3+ years of hands-on React experience.
- Track record building large-scale, customer-facing web applications; e-commerce experience is a plus.
- Strong TypeScript and React fundamentals, including hooks, composition, reusable component libraries, responsive HTML/CSS, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Experience structuring shared code across teams, including package boundaries, dependency direction, and type-safe APIs across packages.
- Experience with Redux or similar state management and a test-first development habit using Jest and React Testing Library.
- Daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor while maintaining rigorous code review.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions across teams.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with pnpm workspaces, Turborepo, Changesets, Playwright or Cypress, Storybook, redux-saga, GraphQL schema-driven code generation, Contentful, AWS, Datadog, RUM, React Native, Expo, Optimizely, Braze, or mParticle.
