Responsibilities

  • Design, build, deploy, and optimize containerized applications exposed as real-time API endpoints.
  • Automate workflows through CI/CD processes and improve containerization, monitoring, alerting, security, and testing practices.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested Python code for production pipelines and services serving billions of requests annually.
  • Deliver data science products that support and enhance MLOps processes and business outcomes.
  • Design and enhance scalable processes and workflows while shaping MLOps architecture and technical decisions.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders, architects, and external Microsoft Azure experts.
  • Champion data science and MLOps best practices across the business.
  • Maintain data governance standards and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering practices and challenge the status quo.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a data, machine learning, or platform engineering role with MLOps expertise.
  • Strong programming experience in Python and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience using cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP to build machine learning products, pipelines, and platforms.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, DevOps, MLOps, continuous integration, testing, and deployment of data and model pipelines.
  • Ability to design simple solutions for complex business problems and communicate technical subjects to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to build relationships with technical and business stakeholders and work effectively with ambiguity.
  • Familiarity with data protection, consumer duty, and other relevant legislation.
  • Desirable: experience or knowledge of responsible artificial intelligence usage.
