Responsibilities
- Design and implement production-ready Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines, agentic AI orchestration, and shared Generative AI services.
- Lead or participate in complex software engineering initiatives and provide technical guidance across multiple teams.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, and support software applications using Python and Agile development practices.
- Review user needs, determine requirements, conduct interface and unit testing, and provide technical consultation.
- Ensure supported systems meet quality, security, compliance, risk management, observability, and performance requirements.
- Research and resolve process and application problems and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, managers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve business goals.
Requirements
- 4+ years of specialty software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
- 2+ years of experience working with Generative AI systems, including large language models.
- 2+ years of experience with Python.
- Experience designing and implementing RAG architectures using vector databases and retrieval frameworks.
- Experience building agentic AI or multi-agent orchestration systems.
- Familiarity with enterprise AI governance, model risk management, and model lifecycle controls.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale GenAI platforms or shared AI services.
- Understanding of observability, monitoring, performance optimization, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Experience deploying and operating AI solutions on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and influence engineering decisions across multiple teams.
- Prior experience in highly regulated environments is preferred; financial services experience is a plus.
