Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and data pipelines using Java.
- Implement and evolve event-driven architectures for high-volume, real-time data streams.
- Deploy and operate cloud-native services on AWS, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Define and maintain API schemas in collaboration with front-end engineers.
- Build observability into services with metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps, computer vision, and product engineers.
- Participate in architectural decisions regarding data flow and service boundaries.
Requirements
- Strong Java experience, preferably Java 11 or later.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services in a production environment.
- Experience building and operating microservices and distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of data pipeline design and storage patterns.
- Familiarity with observability tooling like Datadog or Prometheus.
- Experience designing or consuming REST APIs with schema management.
- Comfortable working in an agile, fast-moving environment.
