Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, debug, and operate reliable software features using Java, Vue, and other appropriate technologies.
- Develop and maintain APIs, messaging, data integrations, and information-system flows with clear ownership of failure modes and production behavior.
- Extend and improve existing long-lived codebases rather than focusing only on greenfield development.
- Contribute to automated testing, code reviews, documentation, and team practice improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotations, respond to production incidents, troubleshoot issues, and maintain service reliability and stability.
- Use approved AI-assisted development tools while reviewing and validating generated code to the same standard as hand-written code.
- Collaborate with product, quality, technical leads, and engineering peers in an agile delivery environment.
Requirements
- Professional experience building backend or full-stack software in a commercial or product team.
- Solid understanding of software fundamentals, runtime behavior, relational databases, SQL, debugging, data structures, and complexity.
- Understanding of source-of-truth design, concurrent updates, partial integration failures, and idempotency where relevant.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable code and contribute meaningfully to code reviews.
- Willingness to learn Spring and Vue conventions, Kafka, internal platforms, new frameworks, and approved AI tooling.
- Ability to take ownership, collaborate effectively, communicate clearly in English, and follow data classification and security requirements.
- Preferred experience includes Java with Spring, Vue, Kafka or similar asynchronous integration, modernization of large codebases, full-stack API and UI delivery, and verified AI-assisted development work.
