Responsibilities
- Modernize existing systems and develop new backend services.
- Solve technical challenges involving performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Write clean, high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with teammates to improve engineering practices.
- Learn and adopt new technologies when they provide clear value.
- Contribute to the modernization of high-performance distributed backend systems and platform architecture.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of modern Java, including multithreading and concurrency; Java 21/25 is preferred.
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures and strong problem-solving skills.
- General understanding of distributed systems and backend application design.
- Understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, Git, and Docker.
- Commitment to producing high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested software.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and debugging performance issues is preferred.
- Strong collaboration, communication, ownership, accountability, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
