Base Salary
$140k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and scale Java and Kotlin software for endpoint patch discovery, packaging, and deployment.
- Build enterprise-level backend applications that operate across millions of endpoints.
- Apply object-oriented design principles, design patterns, API best practices, and scalable data structures.
- Develop REST services, relational database solutions, responsive client/server messaging, and caching systems.
- Commit production code, maintain quality standards, and collaborate with AI workflow, server, platform, product design, and product teams.
- Occasionally contribute to patching workflows and dashboards using React or Angular.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems.
- Experience designing and scaling systems and resolving scalability challenges.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented programming design principles and expertise in scalable data structures and object-oriented design.
- Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development using Jersey or Spring.
- Experience with relational database design and development and client- and server-side development for responsive messaging.
- Expertise with caching systems; Redis experience is preferred.
- Expert knowledge of quality testing practices.
- React and/or Angular experience for occasional front-end work is preferred.
