$179k - $268k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate high-scale APIs and distributed payment services across multiple cloud providers.
- Integrate and scale new payment channels and methods across global markets.
- Build systems supporting consistency, idempotency, reconciliation, failure recovery, and operational observability.
- Own services end to end from design documentation through production operations.
- Participate in design and code reviews and help establish engineering standards.
- Investigate and resolve complex distributed-systems challenges.
- Collaborate with product, design, and partner-facing teams across regions to deliver systems and manage dependencies.
- Mentor engineers and share technical knowledge.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software development experience building and operating high-availability, large-scale applications.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and software design patterns.
- Ability to take ownership of outcomes and operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to drive cross-team collaboration across complex dependencies and competing requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Genuine interest in crypto or fintech and improving financial systems.
