Responsibilities
- Create efficient data flows to support internal teams.
- Develop data set processes for modeling, mining, and production.
- Build infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of large data sets.
- Infuse fresh ideas into the company culture and products.
- Leverage emerging tech and Big Data for real-time analytics solutions.
- Work on complex, large-scale data-focused projects.
- Analyze and troubleshoot data-related issues, presenting optimized solutions.
- Collaborate with Product Management, UX, Security Research, and Data Science teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience or equivalent.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Solid programming knowledge in Python.
- Some programming experience in Rust.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform), automated testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience building and deploying distributed services to cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Production experience with distributed processing technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka).
- Knowledge of tools like Git or Jira.
- Experience with low-level data storage formats (e.g., Parquet, Avro).
- Ability to take initiative and challenge existing assumptions.
- Knowledge of software design principles and leading software development practices.
- B.S, M.S, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
